FAIR time for Women is currently providing a limited number of travel and device grants. This grant is available to physicians who are regularly treat females with bleeding disorders. Clinicians who are affiliated and unaffiliated with Hemophilia Treatment Centers will be considered.

This grant will provide a limited number of travel sponsorships to reimburse up to $1,500 each for physicians to attend the University of California San Diego (UCSD) Continuing Medical Education Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Training which provides comprehensive modular activities to teach point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS).

In addition, we will provide a limited number of grants for hand-held ultrasound devices to physicians who have attended the training.

With this training and additional tool, we look forward to clinical providers improving the quality of care for female patients in bleeding disorders.

*Training will take place at UC San Diego with Dr. Annette Van Drygalski.
*Grantees will be selected by an independent committee of the FAIR Time Coalition. Selection will be weighted toward applicants who illustrate a focus and commitment in caring for females with bleeding disorders and are interested in novel ways to diagnose bleeding episodes. This grant will be offered in 2024 and will remain open until funding for this effort has been exhausted.
